translating VBA model to shapeSheet reference

What would the shapesheet syntax be for a document metadata custom field?

If I am in the directory window and right-click the document, select Properties, I get a pop-up that lets me set things like title, subject, Coments...

there is also a "Custom" tab where I can create fields, like "Customer" or whatever I want to name the field.

I want to set a ShapeSheet cell to the value I entered into the document metadata "Custom" tab for the Customer field I just created.

This is not an easy question and may require some coding. I have passed the request on to some of the Visio developers I know at Microsoft.

Thank you so much for checking into this. while we wait for your friend, I will try to create a simple VBA addon to populate a shapesheet cell with the static text "Hello world".

If code is involved in the solution your friend devises, I will then be in a better position to understand it!!!
