translate options?

Ran across Translate Options box in Pagemaker, that I've never seen before... any ideas on this one?

It first asked to convert type fonts (changed all to Arial) and then clicked OK.

Then this came up:

Translation Options
Translate file name in links
Translate PICT to metafiles.

When I last used this doc. we were using MAC's... I'm sure it's related.

The problem seems to be that filenaming in a Mac differs from PC-based stations. Especially with fonts there are conflicts in names.
But also long names of placed files must be changed for the same reason.
The pict format on the otherhand is nota well distributed picture format. But Meta-files are the PCversion of the MacPict-files
