Transitions not rendering

Im running premier 6.0. When exporting video with transitions, the transitions do not render. If I'm trying to fade from one shot to the other, at the beginning of where I put the transition in the timecode it will cut of video A and show video B, no transition. All of the types of the transitions seem to be doing this. Video A and B are overlapping with the grey transition tab neatly lined up (snapped into) the timecode difference. When I preview the transition in the transition editing window and manually drag the marker on the preview timecode it looks perfect, but come render time, no transition.

Any helpful tips will be much appreciated.

Thank you,
Sean

Hi Sean,

First, does it look good when you render a preview? (by this, I don't mean when you hold the ALT key down and click on the timeline, although knowing if that works would be helpful)

Second, does it occur when you export using a variety of codecs (Quicktime, AVI, etc.)?

If it's happening on all your transitions, I'd suspect that something's been set awry.

Third, if all you're doing is a crossfade, here's another way to try: faq230-3344

If none of that helps, then can you post a link to a screenshot of the spot on the timeline, with the channel expanded, of course.

Cheers,
