Hi,
I have a SL1 upgraded to Meridian 1 Option 61C Release 24, also use Octel 250 Aria 3.0 for voicemail. My company has been advised to migrate from the SL1 to just the 61C as we definitely have the room on the 61C and the systems are grandfathered together. My supervisor and department head wants me to go ahead and proceed with this.

I have all the upgraded books from when our pbx was upgraded in 1998/9 yet have not had time to read through them all since I also support desktop engineering and web development.

My question is this: are there any recommended tutorial cds from Global Knowledge that I should order to find out just what I am getting into? Moving the users and 500/modem sets are easy - it's the core setup I'm concerned about.

Thank you in advance for your advice!
Laura

That is a loaded question!! What do you use on the Octel for integration? It must be a MID I can only speak to the Octel aspect of the upgrade, but you would want to move from the MID to a FLT-N card that emulates a 2616 set. You may be able to stay with the MID but would you want to?

I can send you a config note on the 250 and the 61c if you would like.

I know my response probably will not answer your question but we use Octel only for voicemail, outcall pager notification and call routing (type 34 mailboxes). I am really not that familar with the correct technical terms - I will send you an email.

Thanks!
