Is there anyway, short of going to the other server and rebuilding the view from scratch, to send a view via the DTS Export/Import Wizard from one Server to another and have it stay as a view?

The only way I've been able to get it to go is to send it over as a table. Which would be great if I only wanted the data, but I want the view definition to go over as well.

I only ask because I have a lot of views to send over and I wanted to cheat instead of rebuilding them all. @=)

Thanks!

In EM right click on the DB - select all tasks and then Generate SQL Scripts - then hit the view all button and click the box next to views - hit preview and hey presto a script you can copy and run on the new server to replicate all your views.

WHOOHOOO! Thank you so very much.

I guess it wasn't as silly a question as I thought it was.
