I have a cube that I need to create a 6 Week financial period in December.
I know that Transformer has the ability to add an extra week, but if Dec is is already a 5 week period then the Cognos help tells me that it will make Nov a 5 week period, not Dec a 6 week period.
I have created a rolling 6 week measure to account for Dec but that means that the Jan period starts a week earlier. I could then create a rolling 4 week period but that wouldn't give me a month to date figure.
It's a bit complicated to explain. But what I need is a 6 week period for December and for Jan to start on a certain date (4th Jan), normal 4-4-5 period would apply after that. Can I create a measure that has a fixed start date?
Any suggestions? Any other details make this easier to understand?
