TransFlash card issue

I just bought a SanDisk TransFlash card (microSD) for my cell phone. When I put it in my computer to load data, it asks me if I want to format it. I say yes, then it tries to format it and says it can't. I think it's an em bay drive. I tried to put songs on it, it doesn't work. I tried to put pictures on it from my phone and view them on the computer, that doesn't work either. Help?

Does the card have some sort of write-protecion switch (like old diskettes used to)? Make sure it's set to the position which enables writing onto the card. Probably doesn't though.

Otherwise, maybe it's just bad.

Actually, I kind of figured it out on my own. I went through Windows Media Player and synced my playlist with the flash card. It is kind of picky about which songs it will put on there, but so far, so good!
