Ok heres the situation, I have a bunch of shell scripts that I downloaded off the internet with my Windows 2000 pc. I also have a Solaris 8 (intel ver) pc that I don't have connected to the internet yet. I was wondering how could I transfer those shell scripts from my windows 2000 pc to my Solaris 8 pc with a floppy.

Please help , any information you could spare would be much appreciated

Thanks in advance

So, are you asking how to perform the actual transfer or how to make scripts readable on Solaris box?

1. To perform the transfer, copy scripts to a floppy disk on win-pc, move the disk to the Solaris box, in File Manager do FILE->CHECK FOR FLOPPY, drag the scripts to whereever...
2. To convert scripts to UNIX format, use dos2unix command. Run man dos2unix, that will tell you everything you need to know.

Good luck.
