I have followed the steps in TK 884598 to transfer the sql logins from one server to the other. The sql logins exist on the new server, they have access to the databases as they did before, yet I cannot log into GP with any of the logins. If I manually apply a password to a login on the new server, it then works. However, I have over 100 logins that need to retain their old passwords.

Has anyone else used this TK and had it work?

It seems the only way to get the sql logins to work with Great Plains is to create a brand new ODBC connection, instead of changing the server on the existing connection. ??

Professional Services Tool Library from CustomerSource has a Login/User Generator Tool Kit for free, you just have to download and install it. It will re-create logins and users based on the users that are currently set up. It's useful for recreating Users and Logins to a restored database on a new server.
