We configure Dterm Series i 32 button phones for speed dialing on buttons 1-16. The Users then program their buttons using FEATURE/<BUTTON>/<NUMBER>/FEATURE.

I see nothing related to speed dialing on the switch (NEAX2400 / MAT v. R20.5 1.03). At least not what the Users program at the phone.

Is there a way to see how the speed buttons are configured on a phone?

NOTE: For a move, I typically delete the extension with ASDT and start from scratch on the new lens, reconfiguring with AKYD, ACFS, ADKS, ANDD, and ACPG as needed. That covers it for us.

Thanks,
Bill

The speed dial button memory in the 2400 resides on the 16ELC card and not in the CPU so there is no way that I know of to see it via the MAT program. You can back up that memory with the BOSD command. Also it is recommended especially in the older 2400's to delete call forwarding, name display, etc before deleting the ext in ASDT. Others will tell you that this is not necessary but I have seen the problems first hand. The new IPX is better than the older HDS and ICS platform but why take chances to save a couple of minutes and possibly have a problem that will cost you a lot of money to have NEC engineers fix the issue.

Thanks. I'll check out the BOSD cmd.

Thanks also for a good tip on the prep for deleting via ASDT. I've learned it the hard way with Call Forwarding (ACFS). The Name Display (ANDD), however, will generate an error message if you try to delete with ASDT -- at least on my system.

I appreciate your feedback!
Regards,
Bill
