Anyone out there familiar with transferring calls to another number using the recall button. I'm able to transfer calls from a regular extension, but is there something different that has to be done with the operator. Any help is very appreciated. Thanks.

If you are using the recall button, then you are doing a centrex transfer via the Central Office. The line used must be set up for Centrex Service, and then the recall button "flashes" the CO, you enter the number (maybe with a "9"), and then hang up. Call is then transferred via Centrex features.
