I'm hoping someone can help here. I know almost nothing about Blackberry's, but I'm a quick learner. ;-)

I need some way to pull messages off of a Blackberry 850 and put them on my desktop so they can be printed. I have desktop manager version 3.6, the blackberry OS is 2.1.23.

Side note, this was purchased from a $large wireless company$ and I have to get support from them. After a couple days on the phone with support, I paid one of their stores a visit. There, they told me I did not need a new "sim" card nor did I need an active account with them in order to print e-mails. They told me to "download the software and just print them". After calling this morning, I got a very impatient $wireless$ tech who told me once again that I needed a sim card and an active account.

The desktop manager appears to have what I need, I'm just not sure how to make it work!

Well, I've now found out that (yay) I get to purchase a NEW blackberry, backup the old one, restore it to the new one, and hope nothing gets corrupted.

And that's the easy, but not cheap way to do it. Blackberry tech support basically told me that as it is now, I cannot get it reconnected and cannot print at all.

The provider that I spoke to yesterday wasn't in a difficult situation with me standing there with a credit card saying "what do I need to spend in order to get these messages?" The resulting blank look from him told me that I should always, always, ALWAYS BUY DIRECT!
