I currently have an old EE1000 running software version 2.03. The unit had a hardware failure, and although I can get it repaired if I need to, due to its dated software and age I'd rather transfer all the module and the keycodes to a brand new unit. My question is, is it possible to transfer all the keycodes from the old unit to the new? Can Nortel generate new keycodes if I were to provide them the old ones?

Typically when you regenerate keycodes from KRS, Nortel requires that you return the defective unit to them. This can only be done via an ITAS case. I would check with ITAS and see what their thoughts are - it's kind of a case by case basis. My guess is that you may be out of luck, as Nortel had a program a couple years back that allowed people to trade in old EE 1.0 boxes for updated 2.5 systems.

A certified vendor can tranfer the key codes for you. You will need to pay for the service and return the old MSC card. The MSC card is the only part Nortel wants back. I know, I did this two weeks ago.
What was the hardware failure? I have some spare 1000 parts.
