Okay, I need some help here.
I am not a MS person, all I know is Unix, so please bare with me.
I am trying to transfer files from my wifes old pc to her new pc.
She is running MS XP Pro on the old pc and the new one as well.
I heard that I can connect a RJ45 cable <I think it is called a cross over cable also>, well, if I connect the RJ45 cross over cable to the nic card on the back of both the old and new pc, I will be able to transfer files without a true internet connection. Is this true?
If so, how and what do I need to do to either map, create a pc to pc connection.
Please gerber feed this to me
Please help..
