Transferring Digital Phone

One of my company's employee is moving to other cubical withing same office building. Right now he'e using Nortel Digital Phone (DN#270). I want to move him with his same phone with same extension number. I know one option from BCM itself "Set Relocation" bit I heard that it is simple but in future it can create huge mess. Can anybody outline the alternate steps to do it. Thanks

The easiest way is to go into the programming and turn Extension relocation on. Move the digital set to it's new position and once it has been moved and has the correct extension number, you just go back into programming and turn relocation back to off.
