Is is possible to transfer a caller from one extension to another in a Merlin Messaging R7. It does not work for me. This in strictly with in the system, not from an outside call.

Do you mean forward a message internally using the messaging? Yes you can do that. I believe it's option 1 when listening to a message.

Sorry no, extension user 'A' calls extension 'B' within the system. 'A' changes their mind about talking to 'B', 'A' asks 'B' to transfer he/she to 'C'. Is this possible. It does not work in my system.

Yes, you can transfer an internal call to another extension, if you have an additional SA button available. And what does that have to do with Merlin Messaging in your original question?

Thank you Touch Tone Tommy, it has nothing to do with Merlin Messaging, I just threw that in.

I have two SA buttons, one ring one voice

Please instruct me on transferring a internal call.

When you are on a call, press transfer. This puts the caller on hold and grabs the other SA button. Dial the extension you want to transfer to. It rings that person on the second SA button. Either hang up to complete the transfer or press transfer again to complete the transfer.

You need an open SA button to transfer a call. Usually, I put 3 SA buttons per phone so you can be on one call and still transfer another call.
