I have 4 Magix networked together. The bulk of their calls are between facilities. Ext 300-399 are divided between the locations via udp. The 4th location has a tie line board connected to a Multitech unit with 4 channels going back to the main location on a corresponding tie line board. The 4th location can call and be called from the other three, using one of these channels (805 thru 808.) The problem is when a call comes in on a copper line to this location. I have trunk to trunk transfer set and this is what happens: A call comes in on 801 (copper trunk.) I hit transfer and it goes on hold. When I dial the extension of a different location, it goes nowhere as if ARS isn't working - although it works fine when I just dial another location without trying to transfer. When I hit transfer, manually select 805, call the extension I want, and either hit transfer again or hang up the first call remains on my phone, the tie trunk (805) disconnects, and the display says 'incomplete transfer.' Do tie lines act differently from point to point T1's? It seems like I should be able to perform a transfer since I can call between locations easily, but I am not sure what to check next. The other three locations have no problem with this, but they have conventional point to point T1's.
