Hi, I can't seem to figure out from reading the Audix manuals on how to set this up. I would like to allow users to dial another extension when their listening to someone's voicemail greeting. Currently we can dial *Extension, but that transfers the calling party directly into the entered extensions voicemail not to their phone.

Under Voice System Administration, transfer Security, Allowed number I have the range of extensions entered. Under denied numbers I have all, all.

What am i missing?

Under Audix Administration: 'disp sys fea' page 3. For security I suggest Transfer Type: enhanced_no_cover_0 and Transfer Restriction: subscribers. This will limit the transfer feature to administered subscribers within the voice mail system. I don't use the Transfer Security under Voice System Admin. Also, for the attendant I define the console ext as a subscriber so that cover to 0 works to the operator. The caller, once inside the mailbox hits *T and the extension. Again, if the extension is not administered as a subscriber under this scenario the transfer will not work this takes care of most possible fraud situations using the transfer features in the Intuity system.

Thanks for responding i have that setup already. when i hit *T then the extension i get an error that vm box does not extist. However when i Do * then Extension it transfer directly to that voicemail box, and does not ring the stations..

Our extensions start with 8. any ideas?

To have the caller transfer out and follow coverage for the transfered to station you should use enhanced_transfer_cover_0.

If you have the "cha sys fea" page 3 set to subscribers only, and the transfer type is any thing other than basic, the extension must exist on the switch also. When you dial the *t{extenisio number} it will try to call the switch. If the extension does not exist in the PBX you will get the no subscriber message.

Chris, those options are set. I should mention that we are using an Aria interface as well..

If you want to be able to redial someone while at the "leave a message" you can dial by name. Press *T then press *A and it will give you "please enter the parties last name". I'm not certain if theres a way to just dial someone elses number without hanging up and dialing. Hope this helps...

Are the subscriber voice mail boxes using the Aria interface or the Intuity interface?
