Transfering Files

I recently had to put a new motherboard in my computer which meant i had to reinstall windows. I did so on a different hard drive so then i could hook up the old hard drive as a slave to get my files off of it. Here's the problem i was password protected on my other system and it wont let me access the user files and i havent found any ways around it. If anyone has a trick to get around this or a way to transfer these files it would be much appreciated.

I assume that you are using winxp??
