Transfering files

I have a user that is using Visual Source Safe to Transfer files from his laptop to different file servers. Sometimes he gets the following error: "Delay Write Error"

I reloaded his laptop last week from scratch. Running Windows XP w/ SP2 and Visual Studio 6 w/ SP6.
