Transfering files between subsites?

Can you move files or folders from one subsite of sharepoint site to another subsite of the same sharepoint main site? Meaning my main site is say marketing and i have a subsite of the marketing site called customer and another subsite of the marketing site called prospects. Now i want to move file or folders from the prospects subsite of the marketing site to the customer subsite of the marketing site. Can i do this or do i have to create a brand new folder on the customer subsite and Manual resave all documents from prospect subsite to the customer subsite?

Go to Doc Lib you want to move the files from, one of the dropdown menus has an option to open in explorer. Then go to the destination Doc Lib and do the same, then cut and paste.

You can also go to Site Actions > Site Content and Structure. You can then check the items to move and use Actions > move to relocate them.
You should also be able to SharePoint Designer, which is now a free download from the MS site -

I will try doing both of these ideas. May i ask what SharePoint Designer is i haven't heard of that.?

I allows you to modify and maintain SharePoint sites. You open up the web site, and you can then see different views of your SharePoint sites. You can modify masterpages, create workflows, and do other site maintenance. It really is a feature rich product. If you are a SharePoint administrator, I definately recommend downloading SharePoint Designer and learning how to use it.
