Transfering caller to Phantom MB 2

How do I transfer a caller to a phantom box in MM 1.1?? If I try direct to MB (programmed button), I get error tone. The mailboxes are setup correctly, and I can transfer to them from within messaging (directly from the AA, or *8 from anywhere in messaging), but I can't drop a message in the box or transfer a caller to it. Any ideas?

Also is there any admin software for v1.1?

You need to also create a phantom physical extension and put it in the voice mail cover group. Use the adjunct extensions associated with MLX or TDL stations. In the Merlin Messaging, you can still administer the mailbox as "without a phone", so transfers from within the Merlin Messaging go directly to the mailbox, without going to the phone system first. But by having the phantom extension port, you can also transfer or DVM from the phone system.

I think I've tried this... The adjunct ranges from 7300 and up. When trying to renumber one of them to an acceptable number, 162 in this case, I was rejected in WinSPM.

162 is already defined in the messaging system.

This is just a matter of single renumbering?

Can't have two extensions numbered the same. Pick a fresh one, and it will work.

When you're renumbering, remember to go to Adjuncts, instead of extensions.
