Have a client that wants to be able to transfer an answered call to a different number outside of the system. They have a business in a different state and need to be able to transfer the call there. This system is set up with a T-1 for lines. Any ideas on how to make this work?

It's called Trunk to Trunk Transfer. I believe it is under extensions while in programming. You need to allow that extension trunk to trunk transfer capabilities.

When you are setting trunk to trunk also check restrictions and ARS levels while you are there; make sure there are none. Another way of doing it is to set up a phantom extension for remote call forwarding and then have that extension forwarded to the remote number. I usually do it that way because it seems to work better. In that case you are still working under extensions; just give the extension (it can be a phantom) RCF capability - still check the restrictions.
