transfering call answered from bridged appearance?

is there a way to transfer a call that is answered from a bridged appearance? It seems we are not able to do that?

We don't get a dial tone when we hit transfer or try to place the call on hold. You can still transfer on the original phone just not on the phone with the bridged appearance. Weird?

S8500 CM 3.0 with 2410 phones

You need to have more than one bridged appearance. Put 2 or 3 bridged apperances on the phone and it should work.

Or....manually select another appearance of the main extension after pressing transfer..........or the preferred method......just set "Auto Select Any Idle Appearance? y " on the top right 2nd page of the station form.
