Transfered calls

When people call into the receptionist and she transfers the calls, they are showing up has her name and extension. This just started happening without any config changes, before transfered calls showed as "555-235-1242>Receptionist" or something similar. Any Ideas?

Receptionist is 1 example, this is happening with anyone transfering calls.

When you press Transfer + Extension, the IPO puts the caller on hold and places a call from the extension that has that caller on hold. So, it would show the receptionist's extension in that scenerio.

To fix: Press Transfer + Extension + hangup immediately OR Transfer + Extension + Transfer again. Either of these options will complete the transfer and should show the calling parties number instead of the internal extension of the person who transfered the call.

That is the difference with announced tranfer and not announced transfer
with an announced transfer the receptionist can tell you who is on the line so you don't need the caller id on your phone (yet)

Thank you for the help, that is a "feature" I could live without. It seems more like in-house spoofing to me.
