Transfer users from CES1500 to CES1700

G'day all.

I have a fairly old Contivity 1500 VPN box that I'm replacing with a new Contivity 1700. The 1500 is running software version 2.51.

I need to transfer all the IPSec user accounts from the 1500 to the 1700. Does anyone know an easy way to do this? I don't have that much experience with configuring these devices.

Contivity store all it's user profiles in an ldap database either locally or external (if you dont know then your is probably local).

Have never done this before especially on that old sw rls. but here's what I'd try:
1.) Through the WEBUI save/backup the ldap database on the 1500 with a particular name.
2.) Using FTP, pull of this file from the 1500 (you might have to scratch around).
3.) Put this file in the very same folder on your new 1700.
4.) Through the WEBUI on the 1700, restore that ldap database.

If it doesnt work, the disparity in sw versions might mean the old database cannot be imported into the new version. Otherwise read the documentation.
