Our HR department has 12 stations in it's pickup group.
Problem:
Call comes into HR Director's phone on x1111.
x1111's Coverage Path 1 goes to 2 stations and then to VM.
Someone on the pickup group, but not in the cover path picks up the call.
When they try to transfer to x1111's VM by using Transfer #1 Transfer, the call bounces around thru the cover path again.

Is there an easy way to transfer directly to VM (without bouncing around the cover path) when the call was answered from the pickup group?

Thanks,
kfann

Transfer the caller to Audix and use the "guest password". Have whomever answers using call pickup, transfer the call to your " Welcome to Audix" hunt group extension, but stay on the line and have them enter your Director's extension number, 1111, and then enter your guest password (found on page 1 of your Audix system parameters features section), your person can now hang up. The system will respond "please leave a message for John Doe, record at the tone"

The caller, though, will never hear your HR Director's personal greeting, unless the caller is transferred back to his extension.

Transfer to Voice Mail Access Code: #0

in this example you hit transfer #0 then transfer

G3rguy & jordy5535,

I appreciate both your posts. Our transfer to voice mail FAC is #1. The problem that they say they have is when they do the transfer to voice mail with Transfer #1 Transfer, the call goes back thru the cover path again, with someone usually trying to pick it up.

We had thought about using the guest login, but (Head Slap) didn't think about staying on the line with the caller to make sure they got to where they were going.

If there are no other suggestions, we will probably suggest jordy5535's idea.

Thanks to all,
Ken

We have created an X-port station with the coverage path going to Audix after one ring. In Audix, the same number is a subscriber with a COS of "autoattd". The addressing format is "extension". The greeting of the VM directs the caller to enter the extension of the person you want to transfer the caller to.

So, to transfer a caller directly to an individuals VM without ringing the station first, we transfer/dial the number for the Audix auto-attendant, enter the extension of the transfree, wait to hear the start of the greeting, and then press transfer a second time to release the call.

I have never seen the tx to audix follow the cov path. Have you tried doing it, and did you get same result?

I haven't had a chance to check out the suggestions yet. I hope to soon.

Thanks,
Ken

I think I would set up an abbrieviated dial number with "audix ext, pause, 1111#, pause, guest password #" and transfer the caller to that.
