Transfer to long distance number on older cics

What is the best and least expensive way to transfer calls to a long distance number? I haven't been to site in a while but they either have 1 or 2 ds cards nothing fancy. I'm guessing this CICS is about 2.0 software. Also other than ds and ci what are the valid trunk cards? I know of the BRI card but have never had the opportunity in all my years to use one,if anybody can explain I'd appreciate it .

Well there is only one way to transfer and thats press transfer and dial the number, as for cost that all depends on the carrier whom supplies your lines.

I think you'll need R4.1 software to be able to perform external transfers. You then must setup a destination code and a route to direct a call externally.

Prior to 4.1 I think you had to use feature 3 (confrence transfer)
