3300 MXe MCD 4.1.

We've swapped out an Astra system which had the ability to transfer to an extension/button and leav it on hold. The any caller can collect it.

Can the Mitel do something similar. I know we can do call park, but the problem with that is that the Mitel will assign a slot between 1 and 100, the problem with that is the customer has to remeber the slot number and there is no lit key to show a call on hold.

I was thinking of setting up dummy extensions that go no where and will not recall. The only problem I can think off is if its constantly in transfer will the caller hear "ring ring" or MOH.

Check the call park feature in the 3300 help files.

There may be no i in team but there are three f's in fudge off.

There is a group park feature that works mostly like a system park except that it operates as a First-In First-Out key. The key will light when a call is placed on it and any phone with an appearance can retrieve the call by pressing the same key.

Functionally, if only 1 call is placed at a time it works like a group hold key.

from the help files said:
Group Park uses a single feature key to both park and retrieve calls. Any telephone programmed with the same Group Park key can retrieve the call.

Up to 64 Group Park keys can be provisioned with the same park destination DN, which is also the maximum number of members allowed per Group Park group. Group membership is assigned to users by programming a Group Park key to their phone. Users can belong to multiple groups; the actual number is limited only by the number of available feature keys on the user's phone.

Multiple calls can be parked against the same Group Park key. Call retrieval using the Group Park key is by longest parked call. Retrieval by index of Group Park calls is supported but only by using Call Park Retrieve.

For my customers, I provision multiple Group Park keys so that only 1 call need be parked on any key at any one time. The most I've programmed is 3

Lou, thanks for trying but if you read my thread carefully you will see that I didn't want to use the park option.

kwb, that sounds like more of an option I'll try that.
