One of the customers we sold IP Office Basic Edition to is requesting a change that I am not sure is possible. I'm kicking myself for selling this muppet mode but the customer was very price concious and intitially made it sound like they merely needed dial tone and voicemail.

Currently they have 5 analog lines that all point towards the receptionists extension. There is a night service button that will send all calls to an auto attendant which has each of the users programmed as an option.

They are requesting that instead of callers reaching the receptionists voicemail during the day that callers reach another auto attendant. Is there a shortcode or number I can put in the DTMF breakout for her voicemail that would send callers to the night service Auto attendant or any auto attendant? Is there another way to complete this?

It is probably programmed for "night only". Change that option to "always" and during the day it will go to the day menu, at night it will go to the night menu when the button is pushed.

You might like to know that Basic mode is not available in R10

I guess I should clarify, they would like calls to still initially go to the receptionist for X number of rings, but then transfer to the auto attendant instead of the receptionist voicemail box.

The way I have it set for Night Mode is all of the phones are in the Night Service Group, and VMS Delay is set to 2 rings, so it will ring all the phones for 2 rings and then roll to the Auto Attendant. They use this during out of office hours and when the Receptionist is not at their desk.

Now they are complaining that all of the voicemails go to the receptionists extension during the day [all lines point to her extension as the incoming route] and they want to have an Auto Attendant answer after it rings at her desk.

I was thinking well I will just create an Auto Attendant and set a delay of 5 rings before it picks up, but I can't find any way to put a delay before an autoattendant in basic mode or a transfer to an auto attendant.

Edit never mind I figured it out. Just leave the incoming routes the way they are and enable the autoattendant for both day and night, change the VMS delay day to 5 rings, leave the Night ring at 2, and build the new auto attendant.
