Customer has PARTNER ACS R7 with PARTNER Messaging. We created an auto attendant, which includes an option to repeat the menu, but it doesn;t work. Also, customer wants to be able to transfer folks into the Auto Attendant to get directions.

Ideas?

Well, what did you use to repeat the menu? The built-in sequence is *4; although *# will repeat the auto attendant greeting, at other levels, like submenus, it backs up one level.

You can also use a selector code that transfers to a phantom extension that points back to the auto attendant, but you will hear "Transferring Call" before the AA repeats.

We used a selector code (9) that pointed to a phantom extension. It didn't work, but I suppose *4 would suffice.

In digging around I realized that I may not have set VMS cover for the phantom extension, so I'm going to try that (to allow people to be transferred into AA for directions.)

In the Partner Messaging, set the phone status as No Phone, then it won't transfer to the ACS and have to cover back to the Messaging. In the ACS, give it Auto VMS Coverage in #310, and set the VMS Cover Rings in #321 to 1 - that way you can also call it from the Intercom, or transfer callers to it as well.
