IS-IT--Management
Every so often when I'm downloading or uploading (http or ftp) something online I'll get a connection time out. The sites are varies from Hotmail, Yahoo, Symantec, Mailwise, etc... It seem to have it's own threshold of data to download before it time out. The downloaded files could be pdf, excel, exe, etc... There doesn't seem to have any consistency except it happens.
Our enviroment: NAT -->HP ProCurve Switch-->Cisco Router-->WatchGuard 750E -->ISP (T1).
Both port 80 and 21 are wide open for incoming and outgoing. I had the ISP do a line test and everything was find. I don't recall having this problem until the new firewall was put in. However, I did take the firewall offline and hook a laptop directly to the router to access the internet and verify that the problem was still there.
I'll download an PDF from symantec and it'll time out after 12mb/80%. I'll remote home and start the download from home (cable) to the same symantec site and it'll download just find. I'm at lost for troubleshooting, please help.
Thanks all,
Hels
