I am using the docmd.transferdatabase method to move a table from one Access database to another. I want the new table to import and amend an existing table, but instead it keeps creating a new table (so instead of amending "mytable" as I indicate in the code it creates "mytable1").

Does anyone know how to work around this?

Thanks in advance!

If you want to add the records from one table to another then an append query will do the job. If you want to replace the entire contents then either a delete query followed by an append query or a delete table followed by a transfer.
