I need to transfer data from my sql server 2000 data to a newly installed mysql database on my network. I have never used mysql before.

How do I do this? What steps do I take?

Thanks.

There are a few ways.. DTS, bulk insert, insert/select into using linked servers.

Let's say we go the Linked Server route. Do I use the actual server name that it resides on? I am unsure as to how to actually connect.
