Transfer return ??????

Merlin Legend or Magix.When someone either intercoms an extension or transfers a call to that extension and that extension doesn't answer, that call is covered by voicemail.The problem is that before that call is answered by voicemail it will ring one time at the operators console then be picked up by the mail.I have 2 systems doing this. One a Magix rel 3.0 with Magix messaging, one a Legend rel 7 with mlm007. Has anyone ever heard of this?

QCC or DLC??? Did you do a print of the operator to look for the unusal? What is the cover delay set at? It could be doing a Transer return then sending to coverage.....doubtful, but maybe.

DLC. My temp fix was increase transfer return to 9, and decrease group cover on all ext with vm to no greater than 4 rings.What kills me is transfer return should have nothing to do with dialing an extension directly.

it actually can. the key thing is to make sure your vm coverage rings are less than your transfer return rings, which you have done.

My transfer return was set to 9 and my group cover was set to 5 and no other covers or forwards were set. The problem was still there. Not until I set the group cover to 4 did the problem go away.
