Anytime an outside call comes in and transfers from the AA to extension 17 it keeps ringing and then bounces back to operator. But when operator transfers the extension rings and then goes to VM like it should. Merlin Legend. Thanks, Bobby

Yes..It seems that only extension 17 is doing that.

I would start by doing a print of extension 17 and looking for something different.

Transfer return, and Voice mail transfer return is a system wide setting, so that is pretty much ruled out.

Sounds like ext 17 does not have a mailbox - OR - is not in the Cover Group for voicemail coverage - AND/OR BOTH.

Yes, the extension has a mailbox and the extension is in the coverage group.

Then I would do what Merlinman suggested - print a report for extention 17 and cut&paste it here.

I would check the cover delay for x17...but there are other factors. Also, x17 could have a coverage vms button active that would stop outside calls from going to coverage but internal calls would still go. Back to the cover delay interval...if the tranfer return time for the system has been checked then you should look at the transfer return interval for the voice mail.

Menu, SysProgram, Exit(Start), AuxEquip, VMS/AA, TransferRtn, you will see the setting, probably 4. I would backspace this off and set it to 9. I always change mine to 9 or 0 then I don't have transfer return feature interactions. lg
