Hi,

i have an auto attendant system that performs the following:

when there is an internal call ( e.g. from ext. 1888 ) to the system ( interface is a dialogic card connected to an analog extension no. 1130 ), the system will send the following dtmf signal:
&,nnnnnnn
where &, represents a flash hook
nnnnn is an external number, say a handphone number.

once the call is connected, the system will simply hangup the line. At this instance, the caller and the external called party is connected.

However, if the caller is also an external party ( which the md110 routes to the system),
the system is able to dial and connect to the called party via &,nnnnnnnn.

However, once the system hangs up, the called party is immediately disconnected. Thus, the system is unable to connect both the caller and the called party together.

Is this a limition of the MD110 ( BC9 ) or should the system send a different kind of DTMF tones to get them connected?

thanks

Quite strange.

First , you should test a transfer before answer on an incoming call with an analog extension ? Is the line dropped when you pusk R key ?

Hi cytho
I am not sure if I am reading this right an o?g call is ok but a call comes in to the voice mail from outside the external party dials an outside line number. the vmx dials it then the MD110 disconects and drops the call. Is that right or is it that the call comes in to the vmx which extends the call to an extension which is on external divert (either by *22 or by personal number) the system (MD110) dials the number then extends the call & the call is now dropped. Either way it could be a class of service issue in that external to external transfers are not allowed.
In the first situation it could be very costly to your company as you lose control of the call and where they dial and how long they hold the call but you pay the Teleco for the call.
Cheers brian
