This isn't me asking for help, but rather I thought the spam/phishing attempt pretty funny:
here's what all I noticed so far about it:
[OL][LI]Seems strange they'd type out all the 0s, and THEN add on MILLIONS... so what is it then, multiples of 25 sextillian or something?[/LI]
[LI]"the Engineering military"? Really?[/LI]
[LI]Okay, so the guy is in some weird military, who fights against buildings I suppose, he's in Iraq, BUT he's using an email from a Chinese domain??? Actually, he's emailing from a Czech Republic domain, and tells me to email him at his Chinese domain email?[/LI]
[LI]Eric White - both somewhat common names, but not TOO common, I guess..[/LI]
[LI]Obviously the grammar is off the charts... well, spelling is alright, but punctuation? The sender is period happy.[/LI]
[LI]So this guy I don't know is part of some strange military unit/operation, and THEY [we] just happened to find 25 whatever dollars? And now they want to just send it to me, and a list of other undisclosed unknown folks? What are the chances?? Who needs the lottery?![/LI][/OL]
So, anybody see anything else? Or anybody think I'm going too far in dissecting this one? Really, it's just out of curiosity, but I imagine that'd be a part of the process of building email protection against such..
And, as I said, it served as a good laugh.
