Hi, how can I transfer an internal call (not through VM ports) from a B/NA station to VMX, without forwarding the calls on that station? Does the VMX knows to automate take over a call after a given number of rings? Thanks.
Many PBX have an automatic forwarding facility, in order to forward call to the actual extension (local or external calls) after a number of seconds.(or a given number of ringbacks).
When calling in the call will be forwarded to the VMX after e.g. 15 seconds.
Many PBX can be programmed to let calls go direct to the voice mail, when the extension is busy.
All these described facilities are connected to the PBX rather than the VMX system.

Thanks, doktor. If you ever get a document or a link to Octel VMX 100 & Toshiba Strata (as you get for Octel 200/300), please let me know. Some features does not applies to other systems.
Hi dxlus.
I knew this, when I posted the link to the AVAYA site.
Anyway, it could give you some ideas...
I will try if I can get the document from elsewhere.
