70 guest mailboxes are needed to be transfered to from AA. The trick using Hunt Group programming is limited to 30.

Is there a way to transfer to a mailbox from AA to leave a message if there is no extention on the mailbox? Surely I am overlooking something simple, or worse...creative. Any help would be appreciated. Why have the ablity to make Guest mailboxes?

If I understand your question correctely, from the AA if the caller knows the extension or the mailbox, from the AA greeting dial * and the mailbox number and you will be able to leave a message.I hope that what you mean. Good Luck!

You can dial the mailbow without the star from AA but need the start to back out of a mailbox.
Make sure in your Guest mailboxes you have entered * as the ext #, * represents a guest box.

Cheers!

When the caller is in AA and enters " * " the CP says. "Star, that command is not recognized please try again." Then the AA menu prompt plays.

Curlycord, I am not able to enter * as the extension number. It continues to use none.

I thought * was used to back out of a mailbox once you entered it.

I want to transfer from AA to a guest mailbox to "leave a message".
