does anyone know how to transfer a file from AES via Putty or Telnet? i tried ftp and it doesn't work, not sure if this is bcos my AES server blocks ftp.

but is there another way since i have 2 reports i ran through Putty and need to pull them over to my desktop.

thx.

scp is secure copy and uses login / password and challenge / response authentication and data is transferred
over network encrypted.

scp and sftp as opposed to ftp are not restricted to having ftp service on and only being allowed to copy
to a particular directory on the linux server (this is an Avaya restriction)

winscp is a drag and drop windows interface similar to filezilla.
