Transfer direct ot agent rather than extension 2

I have a bcm50 with T7316E sets. Our phone agents can move on a whim and I end up having to forward their extension to whereever they moved to. Life would be so much easier if there was a way to transfer a skillset call by-way-of agent id rather than by extension.

does anyone know of a way to do this?

No can do. It's a physical extension and them logging into a skillset has nothing to do with the physical extension they are/were at.

They can logi into the skill set from any two-line display phone. Of course they still need the applicable contact center features (Login, Logout, Ready, Not Ready, etc) programmed on the new phone unless they can remember the codes.
 
what about the "set relocation" feature? would this do what I am asking? Also, would you happen to know the feature code to check the currently assigned extension?
 
Although it would mean a total retrofit, you could install IP sets and then use the Hotdesking Feature. It would be a cost thing whereby you'd have to purchase Telephony Client Seats, plus the phones, etc
 
Yes, set relo would do exactly what you want. The feature to identify any button programming is Feature * 0, then press any key. Pressing the intercom key will identify the extension then pressing # will identify the port the set is connected to.
 
Thank you Oldestgeek. I'm not sure which button the "intercom" key is, so I just started hitting buttons... On our T7316E's turns out it's the extension key.
I will read up on the Set Relocation option and implement it.
