I have an excel worksheet that is actually an invoice. I have another sheet that is the data.

I want to create x number of the invoice worksheets based on the data from the other sheet.

Does anyone know how to do it?

Thanks in advance,

Do you really want to create x number of invoice worksheets? Or do you want to print the invoice worksheet x times? Or email it x times? I can't see the point in generating worksheets of data when all relevant data is already in another sheet.

In any case, whatever it is you want to do, you'll need to link the invoice sheet to some data cells ... if you do this dependant on some lookup index, then half the job is done. If you have an index number that can be iterated via macro, that's almost there. Such an index number may also be used via some interface, in order for the user to choose data to be shown within the invoice layout. Do you see what I'm getting at?

Cheers, Glenn.

I didn't mean to create x number of worksheets, but x number of invoices. If the invoice layout is a template (or some other such entity) then I can apply the data sheet to it. Similar to mail-merge in Word.

The problem is I don't know how to mate the data to the template.

Thanks,

Did you read the FAQ?

Yes I read the FAQ. It doesn't have anything to do with Excel. I already know how to do a mail-merge with Word.

I was wondering if it could be done with Excel.
