Do you have Ethernet? Try mapping a drive over Ethernet. I'm not sure if Win 95 can do this. I haven't seen Win 95 for quite some time. But XP should be able to. Quick Disclaimer: I have not worked on XP yet, but I assume the steps are similar.
Both PC's must have a NIC or ethernet port. Connect them with a crossover cable. Then make sure both PC's have an IP address on the same logical subnet (i.e. 192.168.x.x/24). Then right click on Network neighborhood (assuming you have that on your system. XP probably can have it but not sure about 95). Then click on map network drive. BTW, make sure your C: drive (plus any others you may have) are set for file sharing. Assuming you have data on c: drive that you want to transfer, then the path should be \\pc name\c$.
You should be able to transfer files then. I am not sure if you can transfer files over the DB25 cable and the parallel port. I've honestly never tried or even looked into the possibility. Perhaps someone who's been working on PC networking a long time ago has some insight on this.
