Transfer calls directly to a voice mailbox without ringing that user e 1

I have a CallManager/Unity deployment and I was wondering if there is a way allow users to transfer calls directly to a voice mailbox without ringing that user extension?

From readings docs on Google, there is, but they are not very clear and don't give great examples with "how" the end-user would do this on their phone.

So my questions ...

1) How is that setup on the CallManager/Unity side ?
2) What would the end-user do exactly on their phone to transfer a call directly to another user/Phone VM without ringing?

Set up a CTI port with an extension of *XXXX and Call Forward All to VMail. Create a Voice Mail Profile with extension XXXX as the mask. Apply the VMP to the CTI port. The users then dial * plus the 4 digit extension. The call hits the CTI Port and goes to Vmail with the last 4 digits passed through as the VoiceMail box DN.
