Is there a way that I can program a “hunt group” with members external to the system (mobile phone)? Ex. Calls get routed to this hunt group and there are 5 members in this group that is on there cell. The call will first attempt to transfer the call to the first member and after 3 rings; the call will do a transfer callback and continue to the next member until that call is answered or after the last member ->VM. (The reason I mention 3 rings is because I do not what the external callers cell VM to pickup.

This solution does not need to be a hunt group; it can be a Nortel ACD, or a 3rd party application.

Thanks in advance,

Only possible way I can think of to do that is to have a phone set forwarded to the users cell phone. Hunt groups need to have internal extensions as members. If you had a bank of 5 phones forwarded to the appropriate cell numbers, that *should* work. You'd want to make sure you have digital trunks in the system and not analog, otherwise the volume of the transferred call will be quite low at the cell phone end.

It can't be done with ACD as the call would have to overflow out of the queue to be transferred externally.

Thx Biv343...

I know the limitation of the BCM and its HG. I was thinking in the line of a third party software that: calls came in and is/will be answer to some sort of AA, while that person is on hold, (3rd party software) will call an external "agent" based on caller ID and will hunt down the channel of "agents" until a) an agent answered "the 3rd party software" will bridge the two. b)put the caller to a "sales MB" which than I can program msg notifacation etc.

(note: This can be done if all these users are inhouse or by IP phones)

NT is recommending the CS100 w/MIPCD and claim that this will work...but the client would not like to buy a new system and all new phones. =$$$

It really hard to believe that I can do this on a 3COM system with a simple modifacation of its dial plan & find me/follow me feature -> NT BCM cannot nor a 3rd party application that would not do this.

I have read your other post on the find me/follow me feature comming out for the BCM, but how much of this can we "installer/programmers" modify. And as I understand it, 4.0 will not be out til end of 3Q. (I'm thinking more of end of 4Q.)
