It seems that all of a sudden the transfer button has stopped working on all our office phones (15+ units) Nothing that I can recall has changed, which is obviously not true.

When you hit the button it beeps but it has no functionality. Again this is true for all units.

Can someone point me in the right direction.

Our phones are Avaya 5621

Many Thanks

Sounds like the phones been accidently upgraded or downgraded to an incorrect firmware version.

Have the call appearance's been removed?

What version?
Do you use IPPhones?

Did you remove the "Reserve Last CA" on the user?
Or did you put everyone in a "User Right" maybe this could remove the "Reserve Last CA" from the user.

It works! Now if only I could remember what I did...

Something has changed 1000000000%

Your users have 1 call appearance key, this will stop the transfer button working.

Give them either 2 or none.

Thanks puregold! That was it. I was trying to free up some "real estate" on the phone displays to make room for new employees and deleted a call appearance button. Just like you thought only one was left. I added another and all is well.

Many Thanks.

My apologies. I simply looked at the last post and went from there first.

Many thanks to both TheProvider and puregold for their recommendations.
