Has anyone seen the transfer button only act as a hold button on the DSS phones. This does not stay with the handset it is with the port. Have done default and upgraded to 2.0.18 but has made no change.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Cheers

sprinkle a little holy water on the control unit...?

weird.

I am just now experience the same problem as IPslug describes. Morrack, have any holy water for sale? Or any other users with this problem?

Just to confirm - pressing transfer alone does of course put callers on hold. You are, with the customer on the line, pressing transfer + ext + transfer again?

I have had a similar problem on an install a few weeks ago, Avaya are bringing out a patch next month,
This is on the softconsole, don't know if it might be the same problem??

Morrack - yes, doing the standard transfer - customer online, transfer + ext + transfer - this does not perform a "blind" or "hot" transfer as it should. Instead the transferring party has to wait until the transfer is picked up before being able to transfer the call.

It's as if there is a setting such as "Force Assisted Transfer" - which I don't believe there is.

And, IPGuru, there are atleast 3 appearance buttons on these phones. I'm testing with no other calls on the extensions. Customer reports this as a system-wide problem.

One observation I've made is in ButtonProgramming - For all buttons programmed as "appearance" - the single letter "a" is listed as the telephone number, or in a few cases there is no entry in the telephone number field. Is this a problem?
