I would like to get a running tally for failure rates, complete with control limits. The idea is to enter data to a form, which in turn dumps data to a table, then run a query, dump the results of that query to my spreadsheet, refresh the sheet so my chart is current then put the chart on the form I entered the data from. So far the only method I've found for moving my query is copy and paste but I'm guessing there's a better way. Thanks in advance for any input you can offer.

P.S. I'm pretty new to this so feel free to over explain the basics.

Hi aztec. I'm afraid that if you're new to this, it's a lot to ask. I personally think you're going to need some fairly extensive VBA (visual basic for applications) code to do this and urge you to try that forum.

If you send me your Email address I'll send you an Excel file that does something very similar, except post the control limits. Those can be added depending on the statistical techniques you wish to use.

The file is a tool to analyze equipment downtime and uses formulas on the chart sheet instead of VBA to move the data.
