Is there anyway to transfer a call on a 3x8 DR1. Feature 70 will not work.

Thank You
Mark

Are you trying to transfer a call to another station on the 3X8 or are you trying to send the call to someone else outside your phone system?

I have the book for DR5 and it is showin feat 70, I don't have earlier release books though. What happens with feature 70 ? display or any error notices. have you tried feature 3? or even feature 74 (park)?

When doing feature 70, I get invalid code or something like that. I have not tried 3,or 74.

Mark

I think feature 3 may be a valid feature code on a DR1 you may need to use feature 9 then dial ext then feat 3

Good luck

I will give that a try, What is feature 9? I don't see it listed on the feature codes.

Mark

it is a code that an ATA normally uses to get secondary dial tone. Like I said I dont have the books on the DR1 so I am kinda shootin in the dark here.

That did not work, Do you know where I can purchase the books for a 3x8 DR1. I have looked on the net and can't find any.

Thanks
Mark

Iam just going by memory but on the DR1 they did not have transfer. I believe the way we got around transfering was to an off premis ATA was to set up a conference with Feature 3 then the person that did the set up could drop out and leave the other two people talking. I hope this helps. bob

Bob,
I think he just wants to transer a call to a station that is in the 3x8, which in any case would be the same procedure. Feature 3.

Yes that is right I want to transfer a call to a station on a 3x6 DR1. If I d0 feature 3, I get a message make call first.

Mark

Yes you have to answer the truck on your set and do a Feature 3 (conference) to the new set you want the call to go to and when the three of you are on together the person who made the conference drops off and the call is transfered. That was the only way to transfer a call on the DR1 (Most people had all the lines appear on each set so you wouldnt have to do this)

Ok if all lines are on all sets and only the main set rings just intercom or voice call them and tell the person to pick up which line is for them.

Bob,
That is what they are doing now, but the clinic manager wants them to transfer to the ext. That is how it is done the other clinics. They want everything on the same platform. The other clinics have Modular ICS systems.

Thanks for your input.
Mark

Sorry transfer is not a feature of DR1 it came in to being in DR2. Only option is hold and page.

This sounds like a great time to UPRADE to a newer version. I guess you'll find out how bad the clinic manager wants that feature.

You can upgrade to a 3x8 DR5, 6x16 DR2/DR5 or a CICS. All will give you your transfer feature. Best bet is to go new with a CICS. There is a lot more to that unit than the others.
